Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to the website, its content, and its search features. Continued use means that you accept them. If you disagree, do not use the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. The service identifies Nolan County and Texas criminal-record resources. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently from government. It does not keep official records, conduct official checks, retrieve files, or submit documents for a user.

Its content points to Nolan County clerks and the sheriff, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the service, you agree not to:

  • Interfere with access or service performance
  • Use automated scraping, bots, or similar collection tools
  • Attempt unauthorized access to a system or account
  • Use information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
  • Use site content for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Violate federal, Texas, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool must not be used to intimidate, threaten, stalk, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. Texas registry data is published for public safety. Its availability does not permit vigilantism or any criminal act against a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, consumer reports, or official background checks. Data from the site or a linked tool may not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A regulated check must come from an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider and follow all required consent and use rules.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is not legal advice and cannot determine how a Nolan County charge, warrant, conviction, expunction, or nondisclosure law applies to specific facts. Consult a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

The service is provided "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Records change as cases are filed, resolved, restricted, or expunged. Gaps can occur, and no statement here is an official representation by a court, sheriff, or agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

External links lead to courts, sheriff and state agency pages, legal resources, and outside services. We do not control their content, availability, data practices, or prices. Review a destination's own terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Nolan County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, modification, distribution, or derivative use requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the website, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from a claim or demand caused by your use of the service or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. A dispute related to use of the service must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms become effective when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated at any time without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain effective, and the affected language is adjusted only as necessary.

15. Questions
